MYKOLA NEDILKO
1902–1979
Born November 28, 1902 in Yushchenivka, Sumy Region, Ukraine; died May 12, 1979 in Glen Cove, NY, USA. Painter and stage designer. Graduated from the Ukrainian State Art Institute of Kyiv (1928) where he studied with F. Krychevsky, M. Boychuk and L. Kramarenko. Worked as a set designer and painter with the State Opera and Musical Comedy Theatre in Kyiv. In 1940 Nedilko was sent by the Artists` Union to Lviv from where he left for Germany in 1944, and emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1948. In 1961 he moved to New York.
Solo exhibitions: New York (1962, 1965, 1966, 1980), Paris (1965), Philadelphia (1966), Edmonton and Toronto (1988).
