Josephine Dindo

Attended Kharkiv Art Institute under Bernard Kratko (1920-1926). Lived in Odesa (until 1933) and moved to Kyiv. Member of ARMU (1927- 1932). From 1927 on contributed to exhibitions. Monumental works include a bust of Rosa Luxemburg (concrete, 1921, for Kharkiv), bas-relief for the facade of a seaside sanatorium near Odesa (concrete, 1928). Author of many studio pieces, including Woman Delegate (1927), Mother (1926), Portrait of My Husband (the sculptor Bernard Kratko, 1940s). With Kratko worked at the Gorodinskii Cobalt Plant (1930s-1940s). Taught at the Odesa (1930 -1933) and Kyiv (1933 – 1937) Art Institutes.
